I had never been in a gym. The only exercise that I had done was P.E. in school, and softball. That was it. I had lost weight before by following the weight watchers points system but I had never really exercised to get the weight off. Following the weight watchers plan I always felt like I never had many points to use and once I had reached my goal I knew I was skinny, but I always felt as if I was skinny fat. Plus I gained back almost all of the weight that I had lost eventually so I guess it didn't really work long term. One day was hanging out with friends and I was starting to feel like the "fat friend." You know that one girl in the group of skinny girls that is really nice, but you never get a date. Then I decided that I didn't want to be the "fat friend" any more. I set up some goals and and I lost about10lbs over 12 weeks following a strength training program designed for me at Rachel's gym, Results Fitness. After that I was feeling good and was hooked and I kept losing weight and stuck with what I was doing. Then Rachel challenged me to dial it in even more with my nutrition. At first I was hesitant about changing my diet. Going though weight watchers I had to change my diet and while I didn't change it drastically it was enough to not make me not want to do it again for any diet. In the end I decided that I would do it and see how far I get. I was so surprised to find that the Fit Chick Nutrition Habits are really easy to follow and once they become a habit there is no going back. It really is easy and is now a lifestyle for me. I pack my snacks every day and plan out my meals and it is easy.
So far on the Fit Chick Challenge I have lost 7% body fat!
