I have struggled with my weight all my life. I am an emotional eater. I eat when I am sad, stressed, or even happy. Food was my comfort. After two complicated pregnancies and having a child with special needs I maxed out on my weight gain. I always put my family first. I did not know how to put my self first. Between stress and excess weight I was suffering from high blood pressure. I realized to take better care of my family I had to put my health first. I had watched family fight to win the battle against cancer and here I was unhealthy just from food. I went to Rachel, she had me write a commitment to myself. I had never put it in writing before. It made it seem real to me. I started eating healthy and working out weekly. My goal was to get healthy and lower my blood pressure. My doctors were blown away how healthy I became in a short amount of time. I have now gone from couch potato to finishing a marathon, a 1/2 marathon, 8 triathlons and have one healthy fit body.
